Pharmacovigilance Guidelines

This is a guideline for the national pharmacovigilance system in Kenya. Its purpose is to help users, especially health workers, to participate in the process of continuous surveillance of safety and efficacy of the pharmaceutical products which are used in clinical practice, thus help to achieve the ultimate goal to make safer and more effective treatment available to patients.

The guideline addresses specifically the issues on what to reportwhy to report how to report and where to report.

This guideline and its tools will be reviewed periodically, to ensure that they continue to meet the goals of the Pharmacovigilance system.

All users are urged to provide feedback to PPB on the suitability and practicability of these tools.
