Pharmacovigilance Workshop for Developing Job Aids and IEC Material
Pharmacovigilance in Kenya has been moving! The Department of Pharmacovigilance has been actively working with stakeholders to develop priority job aids and IEC materials.
On the 19th and 20th of May, a technical meeting was held at Lilian Towers, Nairobi supported by the Management Sciences for Health (MSH) to develop posters, banners and IEC materials that would be posted at all health centres, pharmacies and other key identified areas encouraging all to report all suspected adverse drug reactions (ADRs). This will in turn help strengthen healthcare workers’ skills in suspecting and reporting ADRs.
The following are the chosen, prioritized proposed job aids/IEC material:

It is proposed that the materials developed be pre-tested at different levels of care to get the views of the various health care workers across the country. The same will then be finalized and printed for all facilities.
